HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st Mar, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Matiari Muhammad Yousif Shaikh on Tuesday said that all departments must work in a coordinated manner to ensure effective implementation of the National Action Plan.
He emphasized that strict measures should be taken to maintain law and order in the district, eliminate narcotics, curb hoarding and profiteering and provide relief to the public as a top priority.
According to a handout, he expressed this while presiding over a meeting held in the Deputy Commissioner Secretariat.
During the meeting, which held under the District Coordination Committee for the revised National Action Plan, a detailed review was conducted on the overall law and order situation, strengthening counter-terrorism measures, crackdown against drug dealers, action against illegal foreigners, ensuring registration of madaris, special operations against encroachments on national highways, prevention of forced child begging, action against electricity theft, elimination of hoarding and profiteering and enhancing coordination among all relevant departments.
SSP Abdul Aleem Bulo, while addressing the meeting, stated that the police were taking all measures to maintain law and order in the district.
Indiscriminate actions against drug dealers and criminal elements were ongoing, and further improvements will be made with the cooperation of other departments.
The meeting was attended by ADC-I Waqar Malook, assistant commissioner Matiari Abdul Sattar Shaikh, assistant commissioner Hala Dr. Mazahir, assistant commissioner Saeedabad Abdul Shakoor Solangi, information officer Zubair Memon, price inspector Muhammad Azhar and other officers and representatives of relevant departments.
