DC reviews anti-polio campaign arrangements in Sialkot

SIALKOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Saba Asghar Ali chaired a meeting of the District Polio Eradication Committee to review arrangements for the national anti-polio campaign scheduled from April 13 to 17.

According to a DC office spokesperson, CEO Health Dr Aslam Chaudhry, WHO representative Dr Haider, and officials of relevant departments attended the meeting.

The deputy commissioner directed strict implementation of a comprehensive micro-plan to ensure that no child under five years of age is left unvaccinated. She said polio teams would conduct door-to-door visits across the district without skipping any area.

She also stressed effective monitoring of teams and timely resolution of issues, terming polio eradication a national responsibility requiring coordinated efforts.

Later, she inaugurated the campaign by administering polio drops to children.
