Enhanced facilities stressed at Dera's slaughterhouse

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Jun, 2026) Assistant Commissioner Dr. Muhammad Hamid Siddiq has visited the government slaughterhouse to review arrangements for animal slaughter.

Accompanied by TMO Dera Ismail Khan and veterinary officer Dr. Asif he also too stock of cleanliness, hygiene standards, and water supply arrangements at the slaughterhouse.

He expressed satisfaction over the overall condition of the facility and directed the concerned authorities to maintain high standards of sanitation and administration to ensure the provision of safe and quality services to citizens.

Dr. Siddiq also reviewed the progress of the under-construction access road leading to the slaughterhouse.

According to the administration the road project is expected to be completed within the next 30 days, which will significantly improve accessibility to the facility.

Emphasizing public convenience, the AC highlighted the need for establishing additional slaughterhouses at various locations across the city.

He directed the TMO to prepare and submit a comprehensive plan, including proposed sites and feasibility studies, within 15 days in order to provide better facilities to citizens while reducing their transportation costs and improving access to regulated slaughtering services.
