Excessive heat grips Nawabshah as temperature hits 45 C

According to the meteorological department, the ongoing spell of extreme heat is expected to persist for the next few days, with a possibility of further increase in temperature.

The scorching heat has significantly affected daily life, as roads remain largely deserted during peak afternoon hours and residents are avoiding unnecessary outdoor activities.

Laborers and daily wage workers are among the most affected due to prolonged exposure to the harsh weather conditions.

Health experts have advised citizens to stay hydrated, avoid direct sunlight, and cover their heads when stepping outside to prevent heatstroke. Meanwhile, district administration has urged the public to take precautionary measures, while hospitals have been put on alert with special arrangements to handle heat-related cases.
