Faisalabad to regulate weekly bazaars

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Mar, 2026) The Municipal Corporation Faisalabad has accelerated efforts to bring weekly bazaars under a legal framework, with plans to ensure modern facilities and proper regulation across the district.

The initiative was reviewed in a meeting chaired by Commissioner Raja Jahangir Anwar on Friday, where officials were informed that more than 100 weekly bazaars are being established at various locations in the district.

Authorities are taking steps to organise these bazaars along modern lines, focusing on improved management and infrastructure. The meeting also discussed key administrative matters, including advance payment procedures and monthly rent for setting up stalls.

Officials said that essential facilities such as clean drinking water, parking spaces, lighting, security guards, paved areas, and washrooms will be ensured to provide better services to vendors and visitors.
