FDA directed to align financial affairs with modern requirements

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th May, 2026) Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Director General (DG) Muhammad Asif Chaudhry has directed that the organization’s financial affairs should be aligned with modern requirements through digital technology in order to ensure timely data entry and complete transparency for maintaining financial discipline and governance.

He asked Additional Director General FDA Qaisar Abbas Rind to ensure effective monitoring of the process of modernization in the financial system and to take immediate steps for the professional and technical training of the relevant staff.

In this regard, Additional Director General Qaiser Abbas Rind convened a meeting of officers and reviewed in detail the measures being taken to formulate a comprehensive strategy for introducing innovation in the Finance Department.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Director IT Abdullah Noor, Finance Department officers Afzal Ansari, Muhammad Bilal, Muhammad Imran, and Assistant Director Recovery Mian Akhtar, along with other officers.

During meeting, ADG Qaisar Abbas Rind stated that like other departments, the immediate implementation of digital technology in the Finance Department is the need of the hour.

He directed that the services of experts be acquired without delay for the development of state-of-the-art software so that financial matters can be managed on modern lines.

He further said that the success of ongoing measures aimed at improving the quality of the institution’s services depends on teamwork; therefore, all officers should perform their duties with mutual cooperation and professional responsibility.

He emphasized that the effective implementation of digital technology in every department will not only enhance transparency but also significantly improve the speed and quality of departmental services.

He stressed that a responsible and professional approach should be adopted in the process of developing software for the Finance Department so that the desired results can be achieved in a timely manner and the institution’s performance can be further strengthened.
