Financial assistance distributed among christian community

KHANEWAL, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st Mar, 2026) In the district, 703 Christian households have been issued ration cards under

a special relief programme.

The distribution ceremony was held at the District Council where Deputy Commissioner

Maliha Rashid handed over the cards to beneficiaries.

According to officials, each eligible individual will receive financial assistance worth PKR 10,000 through

these ration cards, aiming to ensure better access to essential food supplies

during the festive period.

Speaking on the occasion, the deputy commissioner stated that the district administration is fully committed to standing with the Christian community in their Easter celebrations and ensuring that all arrangements

are carried out in a dignified and respectful manner.

She added that special cleanliness and sanitation measures have been directed across minority-populated

areas to maintain a clean and festive environment during the celebrations.
