Fire claims lives of three minor children

NAWABSHAH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Mar, 2026) Fire reportedly claimed the lives of three minor children that broke out in the huts of Meghwar community, in village Tarchhi, located inside Qazi Ahmed area of Nawabshah.

According to rescue sources, a fire broke out in huts belonging to the Meghwar community, reportedly caused by a household stove.

As a result of the blaze, three children, including siblings, lost their lives after being severely burned. The deceased were identified as five-year-old Kanwal Das, four-year-old Priya, and seven-year-old Channi Lal.

The bodies were shifted to Taluka Headquarters Hospital Qazi Ahmed, where necessary legal procedures was completed before handing them over to heirs.

The affected family belongs to Tharparkar district and had come to Qazi Ahmed for wheat harvesting. The fire also destroyed all household belongings in the huts, reducing them to ashes.
