SIALKOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Apr, 2026) On the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, a free inter-tehsil bus service has been launched in Sialkot to facilitate the public.
Deputy Commissioner Saba Asghar Ali inaugurated the service. Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Naeem Bashir and Secretary RTA Muzaffar Mukhtar were also present.
According to a DC Office spokesperson, 7,823 passengers used the service on the first day. A total of 35 buses are running on three routes: Sialkot to Daska (14 buses), Sialkot to Pasrur (14 buses), and Sialkot to Sambrial (7 buses).
The service will operate daily from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.
The deputy commissioner also met passengers and reviewed facilities. Citizens appreciated the initiative, calling it a big relief for students, workers and daily commuters.
