Hotspots in rural, urban areas being cleared under Suthra Punjab programme

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Apr, 2026) Managing Director Suthra Punjab Agency Abid Hussain Bhatti has said that under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, visits are being held at the tehsil level to pass on the benefits of cleanliness to the people as well as the hotspots in rural and urban areas are being cleared.

He expressed these views while checking the cleanliness arrangements during his visit to Tehsil Chak Jhumra and Canal Expressway. District Manager Operation Atta-ul-Mohsin was also with him.

MD Suthra Punjab Agency said that a schedule of mechanical washing and vacuum sweeping should be prepared on the main roads of Chak Jhumra on a daily basis.

In addition, de-silting of drains and door-to-door waste collection should also be increased further as per the expectations of the citizens under special measures.

MD also visited the markets of Chak Jhumra and inquired about the quality of cleanliness from the shopkeepers and citizens.

He issued instructions to the monitoring officers that no negligence will be tolerated in the cleaning process.

Digital monitoring of all activities should be ensured so that transparency and efficiency can be further improved.
