Huge blaze erupts in Karachi cable factory, fully contained after intense efforts

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Apr, 2026) A huge blaze ignited at a cable factory in Karachi in the early hours of Friday, rapidly spreading and consuming the entire facility.

According to details, rescue officials said that immediately after receiving the report, Rescue 1122 dispatched five firefighting vehicles along with trained teams to contain the blaze, private news channels reported.

Sources added that firefighters managed to bring nearly 40 percent of the fire under control in the initial phase of the operation.

The intensity of the flames, however, made the process challenging and time-consuming.

After nearly five hours of continuous and strenuous efforts, the firefighting teams successfully brought the blaze completely under control.
