ICT Police DIG Joiya chairs meeting to finalize Eid traffic plan

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Mar, 2026) Director General Safe City/Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Traffic Muhammad Haroon Joiya chaired a meeting with traffic officers to review performance and finalize arrangements for smooth traffic flow on Chand Raat and Eid-ul-Fitr.

An official told APP on Wednesday that the meeting was attended by Chief Traffic Officer Captain (R) Hamza Humayun, SP Traffic Majid Iqbal and zonal DSPs.

The DIG Joiya appreciated the performance of traffic officers during the holy month of Ramadan and directed them to further improve arrangements for the upcoming Eid days.

The official added that a comprehensive traffic plan was devised to ensure uninterrupted traffic flow across the Federal capital, facilitating citizens during Eid celebrations.

Joiya emphasized that all officers should remain fully active in the field and ensure effective management at busy markets, commercial centers and major roads.

He reiterated that providing maximum travel convenience to citizens during Eid days remained the top priority of Islamabad Traffic Police./
