Interviews begin for appointment of permanent principals in 200 colleges

More than 200 government colleges in Punjab are deprived of permanent principals, the Higher Education Department has started the process of appointments on vacant posts

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Mar, 2026) More than 200 government colleges in Punjab are deprived of permanent principals, the Higher education Department has started the process of appointments on vacant posts.

HED sources told APP that it has started interviews of suitable candidates, the process of appointment of principals was delayed several times, interviews were stopped due to floodwater situation and various objections.

The HED had started the process of appointment of principals some 6 months ago. Meanwhile, hundreds of candidates have submitted applications for principals.

The HED has started the interview s of the candidates as the delay in appointment of principals was spreading disappointment among the candidates, they said.
