Iranian armed forces say Gulf ports will either remain open to all or to none

TEHRAN: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News- April 13, 2026) Iran has warned that any threat to its ports could endanger all ports in the Gulf and the Gulf of Oman, escalating tensions over maritime security in the region.

In a statement issued by a military spokesperson, Iranian armed forces said that Gulf ports would either remain open to all or to none, adding that U.

The spokesperson said that following US threats, Iran would implement a permanent system to maintain control over the Strait of Hormuz.

He further warned that if Iranian ports come under threat, no port in the Gulf or the Gulf of Oman would remain secure.
