Islamabad: Diplomatic engagements have intensified in the federal capital as a high-level delegation from Iran arrived in Islamabad to participate in important talks.
The Iranian delegation is being led by Speaker of Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, and also includes Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
Upon arrival, the delegation was warmly received by Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. The reception was attended by Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi.
According to the Foreign Office, Ishaq Dar expressed optimism that the negotiations between the two countries would move forward in a constructive manner.
Pakistan also reiterated its commitment to facilitating efforts aimed at achieving sustainable and long-term solutions to ongoing regional conflicts.
