Man repairing power cable electrocuted

MUZAFFARGARH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Jun, 2026) A man died after suffering an electric shock while repairing an electricity meter cable in the suburban area of Chowk Qureshi near Muzaffargarh on Wednesday, rescue sources said.

According to rescue officials, the incident occurred in Dinga Nullah area of Chowk Qureshi, where a 50-year-old man, identified as Muhammad Hayat son of Allah Bakhsh, was repairing an electricity wire at his home when he received a fatal electric shock.

Upon receiving information, rescue 1122 emergency teams rushed to the scene; however, the victim had died on the spot, eyewitnesses said.

The heirs of the deceased refused to shift the body to hospital, rescue sources added.
