'Marka-e-Haq' represents Pakistan’s strong, stable and peace-oriented international standing: Sherry Rehman

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th May, 2026) Vice President of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Senator Sherry Rehman on Friday said Pakistan has maintained a consistent, disciplined and peace-oriented diplomatic policy alongside strong defensive capability, stating that “Marka-e-Haq” reflects the country’s stable international standing and strategic balance.

While in an exclusive conversation with a private news channel, Sherry Rehman lauded the country’s leadership, saying that “Marka-e-Haq” reflects Pakistan’s steady, peace-driven diplomacy and its strong strategic posture at the international level.

Sherry Rehman said Pakistan has never initiated conflict against any country and has always upheld a consistent policy of restraint and responsibility.

She emphasized that Pakistan possesses full capability to defend its sovereignty, while consistently preferring dialogue over confrontation.

She further stated that Pakistan has always believed in diplomatic engagement and “cool-headed” negotiations, encouraging other countries as well to resolve disputes through talks rather than escalation.

Senator Rehman added that Pakistan’s diplomacy is firmly rooted in peace and constructive engagement, and that restraint has always been a guiding principle of its foreign policy.

She said this consistent approach has strengthened Pakistan’s global image as a responsible state committed to peaceful resolution of issues.

Referring to “Marka-e-Haq,” she described it as a dignified and proud moment that symbolizes Pakistan’s resolve, discipline and moral strength.

She said it should be proudly celebrated as a reflection of the country’s principled stance, adding that Pakistan’s message to the world is one of peace, dignity and responsible conduct.
