Nehal Hashmi visits Chinese Consulate

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Apr, 2026) Governor of Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi said that Pak-China friendship was higher than the Himalayas and deeper than the oceans. He said that relations between Pakistan and China were based on mutual trust, respect and multidimensional cooperation and that both countries have always stood by each other in difficult times.

He expressed these views during his visit to the Chinese Consulate here Friday. Upon his arrival, Consul General Yang Yundong and other members of the diplomatic staff warmly received Governor Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi.

During the meeting, matters of mutual interest and avenues to enhance bilateral cooperation were discussed in detail.

Both sides deliberated on benefiting from Chinese technology in areas such as blue economy, development of Pakistan’s coastal belt, and effective utilization of maritime resources.

They also agreed to increase youth exchange programs, promote the Chinese language, and expand cooperation in the field of education.

The Governor emphasized that the nomination of focal persons at the Governor House and the Chinese Consulate was essential to facilitate Chinese investors. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to making institutional linkages more effective and further strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and China.
