Notorious Dacoit arrested after shootout

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Mar, 2026) Police on Friday arrested a notorious dacoit with at least 39 cases registered against him,following a shootout in the area.

A police team,led by In-charge Investigation Ghulam Jafar, was transporting the accused when his accomplices, riding two motorcycles, opened fire in an attempt to rescue him.

The attackers fled towards Bohrryan Pull.

The police pursued and cornered the accused namely as Muhammad Ali alias Kali near Pull Seim Arkana.

During the exchange of fire, Muhammad Ali was apprehended in an injured condition and taken to a hospital for treatment.

Authorities have initiated legal action against him and the investigation was ongoing.
