Major cities, including Karachi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Rawalpindi and Peshawar are witnessing increasing activity in cattle markets, with traders and buyers gathering in large numbers as preparations for Eid-ul-Adha 2026 continue to gain momentum.
Markets remain active throughout the day, reflecting growing public interest.
A report shared with local media outlets indicates heavy visitor turnout from morning till late evening, as people flock to livestock markets for purchase and selection, highlighting the rising festive enthusiasm across the country.
Authorities in Karachi have also approved the setup of additional cattle markets to better facilitate citizens during the upcoming Eid season.
According to buyers in Karachi cattle markets, prices are showing a notable upward trend this season, largely influenced by higher fuel rates, increased transport costs and rising animal feed expenses.
Market estimates indicate that goats are being sold in the range of Rs 60,000 to Rs 250,000, cows from Rs 200,000 to Rs 700,000, bulls between Rs 300,000 to Rs 1,000,000, while camels are starting above Rs 400,000.

Sellers, however, maintain that prices reflect genuine costs and animal quality, stating that well-maintained livestock naturally commands higher value. Both buyers and sellers note that despite price fluctuations, interest in purchasing remains strong as Eid-ul-Adha approaches.
Social media videos showcasing healthy and attractive sacrificial animals are gaining popularity, further boosting public interest and demand across cattle markets.
As a result, alternative trends such as collective Qurbani arrangements and online sacrificial services are also witnessing a steady rise, offering more flexible options for buyers.
Local authorities have deployed arrangements for security, crowd control, sanitation, veterinary health checks, and traffic management.
Officials have also advised buyers to carefully inspect animal health, compare market rates, avoid rushed purchases, and stay alert against possible fraud during transactions.
