Over 1,000 citizens benefit from Meesaq Center Chenab Nagar in one month

In line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to safeguard minority rights and promote interfaith harmony, the Meesaq Center in Chenab Nagar is providing a wide range of public services and addressing the concerns of the minority community on a priority basis, officials said on Wednesday

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Jun, 2026) In line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to safeguard minority rights and promote interfaith harmony, the Meesaq Center in Chenab Nagar is providing a wide range of public services and addressing the concerns of the minority community on a priority basis, officials said on Wednesday.

According to official figures, more than 1,000 individuals benefited from the center’s services during the past month. In addition to facilitating the resolution of community issues, the center also offers 15 police-related services through the Police Khidmat Markaz to ensure greater convenience and accessibility for citizens.

The data showed that during the month, authorities issued 298 learner driving permits, renewed 90 learner permits, processed 315 regular driving licenses, and issued four international driving licenses.

The center also provided 55 police verification services, 120 police character certificates, 32 tenancy registrations, and several other public service facilities.

District Police Officer (DPO) Dr. Naveed Atif , while exclusively talking to APP, said the Meesaq Center has been established to protect minority rights and strengthen interfaith harmony by providing modern, citizen-friendly services under one roof. He emphasized that all citizens of Pakistan are equal before the law and reaffirmed the police department’s commitment to ensuring the protection of the lives, property, and dignity of every individual without discrimination.
