RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Mar, 2026) The Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society (PESS) on Wednesday lauded Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation in the region and called for broader international engagement to restore peace.

President Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society (PESS), Lt Gen (R) Abdul Qayyum at a press conference said

Pakistan, along with countries like Turkiye and Egypt, was playing a constructive role in promoting dialogue for global peace.

The President PESS stressing respect for international laws said sovereignty and political independence of all states, including Iran, must be upheld in accordance with international law.

He also appreciated the restraint shown by Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and urged Iran to avoid targeting civilian sites in GCC states, while calling on GCC countries not to allow their territory to be used for attacks against Iran.

He stressed that Pakistan should play a leading role in promoting unity and peace in the Muslim world by bringing key countries, including Iran, Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, Egypt, Indonesia, Malaysia and GCC states, on a common platform to address emerging regional challenges collectively.

He said PESS condemned all forms of illegal aggression without discrimination and warned that such actions could lead to devastating consequences posing nuclear risks.
