The qualification was confirmed after Quetta Gladiators defeated Lahore Qalandars by six wickets at the National Bank Stadium on Friday, ensuring Zalmi remain out of reach of teams outside the top four in the remaining league matches.
Zalmi currently lead the eight-team standings with 13 points from seven matches.
Their campaign began with a five-wicket win over debutants Rawalpindi, while their second match against Islamabad United was washed out due to rain.
Despite their confirmed qualification, the battle for the remaining playoff spots remains open, with all other teams still in contention.
Islamabad United are placed second with nine points from seven matches, while Multan Sultans sit third with eight points from six games.
