LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Jun, 2026) Punjab Employees Social Security Institution (PESSI) Commissioner Zulfiqar Ali Kharal has directed officers to ensure achievement of Social Security and Workers Welfare Fund (WWF) recovery targets, warning that negligence or delays would not be tolerated.
Chairing a meeting of the Directorate of Social Security Gulberg and Model Town Lahore, here on Tuesday, the commissioner received a detailed briefing on the progress of the Maryam Nawaz Rashan Card programme and recovery targets.
He instructed officers to ensure that recoveries were made strictly in accordance with the prescribed targets and emphasized the need for improved performance across all field formations.
The commissioner appreciated officers who had demonstrated good performance, while ordering disciplinary and administrative action against those who failed to meet expectations.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>He said a zero-tolerance policy would be implemented against negligence and poor performance, adding that immediate action would be taken against officers failing to achieve assigned recovery targets.
Commissioner Zulfiqar Ali Kharal said registered workers under the Maryam Nawaz Rashan Card programme were receiving a monthly subsidy of Rs3,000 to help meet their essential household needs.
He added that continuous monitoring of field offices was being carried out to enhance institutional performance and ensure the achievement of recovery and welfare objectives.
The meeting was attended by officers of the Directorate of Social Security Gulberg and Model Town, who reviewed progress on key performance indicators (KPIs) and future targets.
