Police smash 11 criminal gangs,24 suspect arrested in month-long operation

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th May, 2026) Police have claimed to bust 11 criminal gangs and arrest 24 suspects during a month-long crackdown carried out across the district in April.

According to a press release issued by the DPO office on Tuesday,the operation was launched on the directives of District Police Officer(DPO),Muhammad Shoaib Ashraf to eliminate organized crime.

Police said stolen property worth over Rs4.

832 million was recovered from the possession of the arrested suspects,who were allegedly involved in robbery,theft and burglary.

Speaking on the occasion,the DPO said the police were on high alert to ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property,adding that a zero-tolerance policy had been adopted against criminal gangs.

He maintained that such operations would continue until the complete eradication of criminal elements from the district.
