Punjab Police gets Rs 194 billion budget this year

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Apr, 2026) Punjab Police gets Rs 194 billion budget out of Rs 200 billion this year. The Finance Department has released the budget with a cut of Rs 6 billion in the fourth quarter.

According to Finance department sources, all districts and units have been issued Rs 44 billion funds for the fourth quarter. The Finance Department released Rs 45 billion to the police in the fourth quarter. The highest amount of money was released to CCPO Lahore, Rs 7.1 billion.

Giving the detail the sources said that Rs 2 billion has been released to Punjab Constabulary, Rs 1.

9 billion to CPO Faisalabad, Rs 1.9 billion to CPO Rawalpindi, Rs 1.2 billion to CPO Gujranwala, Rs 1.2 billion to CPO Multan, Rs 700 million to DPO Sheikhupura, while Rs 1.4 billion has been released to DIG Tele and Transport Punjab.

Sources say that a budget of Rs 1.5 billion has been given to CTD Punjab, Rs 1.5 billion to SPU Punjab, Rs 179 million to Elite Force and Rs 1 billion to CTO Lahore, while funds not used in the police budget will be surrendered next month and another Rs 30 to 35 billion will be sought in supplementary grant.
