ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Apr, 2026) The Jammu and Kashmir Young Men’s League on Thursday condemned a sustained crackdown by Indian forces in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), alleging that for the past three days security agencies have carried out coordinated raids on the residences of its leaders, workers, and women members across Srinagar, damaging property, assaulting civilians, and subjecting families to harassment, the party’s general secretary Naseer Wani said in a statement.

The statement said that Indian forces and agencies conducted repeated searches of homes belonging to party office bearers and activists, during which household belongings were allegedly ransacked and properties vandalised.

It further alleged that family members, including women, are harassed, physically assaulted, and mistreated during the operations, creating an atmosphere of fear and intimidation.

Mr Wani denounced the raids as “repressive measures” indicative of what he termed India’s growing frustration, asserting that such actions could not suppress the political voice of the Kashmiri people.

He also urged international human rights organisations to take immediate notice of the situation and hold India accountable for what he described as ongoing violations in the region.
