PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Jun, 2026) At least two people have lost their lives and 31 others have been injured after strong winds, thunderstorms and heavy rain swept across various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to a damage assessment report issued by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) on Wednesday the casualties occurred due to collapsing walls and roofs of houses, as well as incidents caused by lightning strikes during the severe weather.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>A PDMA spokesperson stated that the two deceased were adult males. Among the 31 injured are seven women, sixteen men and eight children.
The authority is continuing to monitor the situation and has directed local administrations to provide quick assistance to the affected families.
