Chasing a modest 135-run target, Gladiators reached the total for the loss of four wickets with 22 balls to spare

KARACHI: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-April 17th, 2026) A brilliant bowling display followed by Rilee Rossouw’s unbeaten half-century guided Quetta Gladiators to a comfortable six-wicket win over Lahore Qalandars in the 26th match of HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 at the National Bank Stadium on Friday.

Chasing a modest 135-run target, the Gladiators reached the total for the loss of four wickets with 22 balls to spare.

Their chase got off to a poor start as they lost both openers early, with Shamyl Hussain dismissed for a duck and Saud Shakeel for one, leaving them at 11/2 inside three overs.

A crucial 104-run partnership between Rossouw and Mohammad Nawaz turned the game in Quetta’s favour.

Nawaz fell just short of a half-century, scoring 49 off 32 balls, before Sikandar Raza broke the stand.

Haris Rauf then dismissed Dinesh Chandimal cheaply, but Rossouw remained firm, anchoring the innings with an unbeaten 60 off 49 balls, hitting five fours and two sixes.

Bevon Jacobs supported him with a quick 14 not out as Quetta sealed the win in the 17th over.

Earlier, Lahore Qalandars, opting to bat first, were bowled out for 134 in 19.5 overs after a shaky start and regular wicket losses.

Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Naeem fell early, while Alzarri Joseph struck twice to reduce Lahore to 36/3.

Usman Tariq also claimed key wickets, including captain Shaheen Shah Afridi for a duck.

Haseebullah Khan top-scored with 33 off 37 balls, while Usama Mir added a late 22-run cameo.

However, Lahore failed to build partnerships and collapsed before completing 20 overs.

For Quetta, Jahandad Khan and Usman Tariq claimed three wickets each, Alzarri Joseph took two, and Saqib Khan picked up one as the Gladiators dominated with the ball.
