A SC three-member bench headed by Justice Hashim Khan Kakar will hear the case on March 31
ISLAMABAD: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-March 27th, 2026) The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Friday fixed for hearing an appeal filed by PTI founder Imran Khan in a defamation case instituted by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
A SC three-member bench headed by Justice Hashim Khan Kakar will hear the case on March 31.
The bench also comprises Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim and Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb.
The appeal challenges the trial court proceedings, particularly the process of recording evidence in the defamation case.
The case originates from allegations made by Imran Khan during the Panama papers case Pakistan, in which he accused Shehbaz Sharif of offering Rs10 billion.
The allegation was denied by Shehbaz Sharif, who is now prime minister, who subsequently filed a defamation suit.
