Secretary Babar Khan conducts detailed inspection of roads in Quetta

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th May, 2026) In a bid to improve road infrastructure and provide citizens with better travel facilities, Balochistan’s Secretary for Communications and Works, Babar Khan, conducted a detailed inspection of several major roads in Quetta.

During his visit, he examined the condition of key routes including Link Street Airport Road, Link Street Main Nawan Killi Road, Kali Shabo, Kali Paband Khan, Alamo, and GOR Colony. Executive Engineer of E&M Works Division, Haji Muhammad Anwar, accompanied him on the visit.

Observing deteriorated and damaged sections, Babar Khan directed relevant authorities to take immediate measures. He instructed the E&M Works Division to include such roads in Phase Two of development plans and begin repair and reconstruction work promptly to ease travel difficulties faced by residents.

The Secretary emphasized that the construction, repair, and regular maintenance of Quetta’s busy roads remain among the department’s top priorities. He noted that well-maintained roads not only improve traffic flow but also ensure safe and comfortable travel for citizens.

Babar Khan directed officials to maintain high standards in all road projects and complete work within the stipulated time frame. He underscored that better infrastructure and travel facilities are essential for the city’s growth and public welfare.

Reaffirming his commitment, Secretary Babar Khan said that inspections and monitoring will continue to ensure both the pace and quality of development projects are sustained. He stressed that such efforts are vital to improving Quetta’s infrastructure and meeting the needs of its citizens.
