Security of Imambargahs, procession routes reviewed

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Jun, 2026) Superintendent of Police Model Town Asad Ali visited several Imambargahs and procession routes in Model Town and Shadman to review security arrangements ahead of Muharram-ul-Haram.

According to a police spokesperson, he inspected key procession routes and met with Imambargah organizers and caretakers.

During the meetings, security measures were discussed in detail, and organizers assured full cooperation with law enforcement agencies.

On the occasion, relevant circle officers and SHOs briefed the SP on the overall security plan and operational preparedness.

SP Asad Ali directed that thorough checking of all individuals entering Imambargahs must be ensured without exception in order to safeguard the lives and property of mourners.

He added that all available resources are being utilized to maintain law and order and ensure effective security arrangements during Muharram-ul-Haram.
