Special assistant reviews projects in Gujrat

GUJRAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Jun, 2026) Special Assistant to Chief Minister Punjab for food Safety and Consumer Protection Salma Butt

visited the Gujrat Chamber of Commerce and Industry and reviewed various development

projects and public welfare initiatives.

According to official sources, she attended a meeting at the chamber and received a briefing on ongoing government programmes aimed at improving public services and civic facilities.

President Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry Saima Sarfraz, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Saba Sehar, Haji Nasir Mehmood, Waqar Butt and members of the business community were also present.

Speaking on the occasion, Salma Butt appreciated the welfare projects launched by the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

She highlighted initiatives, including the Pink Scooty Scheme, Suthra Punjab Programme, Safe City Project and Apna Ghar Apni Chhat Programme, saying these projects were helping improve the quality of life of citizens.

She also praised the Punjab Police for providing a safer environment for women and met lady police officials performing their duties.

Later, she visited a driving simulator facility and appreciated efforts to promote safe driving among women.

The special assistant also inspected the Khidmat Centre and the under-construction FBR Facilitation Centre.

She said the Punjab government was committed to improving public services, increasing transparency and creating more opportunities for citizens across the province.
