Suspect wanted in murder case arrested in Rawat

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Jun, 2026) Police have arrested a suspect wanted in a murder and attempted murder case in the jurisdiction of Rawat police station here on Sunday.

According to a police spokesperson, the suspect allegedly opened fire along with accomplices over a property dispute, leaving a citizen and his driver injured, while a security guard was killed in the incident.

The accused had been at large since January this year and was wanted by police in connection with the case.

Police said the arrest was made through the use of technical and human intelligence-based tracking.

SP Saddar Anum Sher stated that the suspect would be challaned before the court with solid evidence and that legal proceedings would be pursued in accordance with the law. Further investigation is underway.
