Three-member gang arrested for looting plaza

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Apr, 2026) Police on Monday arrested a three-member gang allegedly involved in looting valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees from a plaza near Lahore Ring Road in Manawan.

According to police,a case was registered against unidentified suspects on the complaint of affected citizen Ali Salman, following which the Lahore police launched an investigation.

DIG Operations assigned a special task to SP Cantt Akhtar Nawaz for the early arrest of the suspects.

Special teams were constituted on the directions of SP Cantt,while SHO Manawan Zulqarnain along with his team,arrested the suspects within four days using modern technology.

Police said the arrested suspects identified as Athar,Safdar and Shabbir were allegedly involved in multiple theft incidents.

Laptops,LCDs,mobile phones,printers,DVR systems,batteries,inverters,cameras and illegal weapons were recovered from their possession,officials added.

A case has been registered while further investigation has been handed over to the investigation wing.
