Tragic road accident claims three lives, leaves 10 injured

LOWER DIR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Apr, 2026) In a heartbreaking incident, at least three people, including a young girl and a woman, lost their lives while 10 others sustained injuries when a Datsun vehicle plunged into a ravine in the Maidan Nambatai (Shadrozai) area here on Monday.

According to Rescue 1122, the victims included families traveling together when the vehicle met with the accident, turning a routine journey into a scene of grief and distress.

Rescue teams rushed to the site immediately after receiving information, dispatching ambulances and medical personnel to carry out relief operations.

The injured were provided first aid at the scene before being shifted to Lal Qila Hospital for treatment.

On the advice of doctors, critically injured patients were being transferred to Timergara Hospital for further medical care.

Rescue officials said timely response helped save several lives, while efforts continued to ensure the best possible treatment for the injured.

The tragic loss has cast a shadow of sorrow over the local community, with authorities expressing sympathy with the bereaved families and praying for the speedy recovery of those injured.

According to Rescue 1122 Lower Dir spokesperson, emergency teams remained actively engaged in relief efforts following the incident.
