Tribute paid to martyred constable

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th May, 2026) The police have paid tribute to martyred Constable Muhammad Waqas on his death anniversary, reiterating that the sacrifices of police martyrs would always be remembered and their families fully supported.

Police spokesman said that a contingent of Nishatabad police visited the grave of the martyr, laid floral wreaths and offered special prayers for the elevation of his ranks.

He said that Constable Muhammad Waqas had embraced martyrdom seven years ago while bravely confronting dacoits during an encounter, setting an example of courage and dedication in the line of duty.

Meanwhile, City Police Officer (CPO) Sahibzada Bilal Umar, in his message, said that the sacrifices of martyrs have ensured a safe and secure future for the nation, adding that their bravery and commitment would continue to inspire generations.

He said that the police department holds its martyrs in the highest esteem and would never forget their invaluable services and sacrifices.

He said that welfare of families and children of martyrs remains a top priority of the police and all possible measures are being taken to ensure their well-being and support.
