ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th May, 2026) Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Information and KP Affairs, Ikhtiar Wali Khan Friday issued a strong warning to hostile forces against underestimating Pakistan’s unity, strength and strategic capabilities, saying the success of “Marka-e-Haq” and effective diplomacy had written a historic new chapter in the country’s history.

While speaking to a local media outlet, Ikhtiar Wali Khan said "Marka-e-Haq” has created an enduring chapter of success in Pakistan’s history, which will be remembered by future generations as a symbol of national strength, unity and coordinated leadership.

The imposed conflict against Pakistan was strongly defeated through the united and coordinated efforts of the country’s strong and dedicated leadership, he praised.

He stated that the nation stood firm as a “proud country,” adding that history would remember this period as a chapter of success for future generations.

He credited the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the strategic and diplomatic efforts of Field Marshal Asim Munir, saying these initiatives strengthened Pakistan’s international narrative.

He claimed that consistent diplomatic engagement had helped reinforce Pakistan’s position on global platforms.

Referring to regional tensions, Ikhtiar Wali said that hostile narratives had repeatedly failed to gain international acceptance, while Pakistan continued to present its position on security-related matters, including terrorist incidents such as the Jaffar Express attack.

He also referred to the Phalgam incident, alleging that a false narrative was promoted but later exposed at the international level, though these claims remain politically sensitive and disputed.

Responding to a query on Operation Zarb-e-Azb and Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos, Ikhtiar Wali Khan said Pakistan’s armed forces had been successfully eliminated terrorist networks through sustained counterterrorism operations, significantly improving the country’s internal security situation.

He further alleged that external elements were involved in funding and supporting such groups, naming India, Afghanistan, Israel and said Pakistan possessed evidence of this.

Wali stressed that the country maintained a zero-tolerance policy against terrorism and would continue efforts until such threats were fully eliminated.

He also praised Pakistan’s leadership for its consistent commitment to regional peace, saying the country had played a responsible role on diplomatic platforms.

Coordinator PM further highlighted Pakistan’s position as a peace-oriented state while maintaining a firm zero-tolerance policy against terrorism.
