SIALKOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Apr, 2026) A key meeting of the Vice Chancellor(VC) KPIs and the Institutional Excellence Steering Committee was held at Government College Women University Sialkot (GCWUS) under the chairpersonship of Vice Chancellor Prof.Dr Shazia Bashir,here on Friday.
According to a statement issued by the university,the meeting reviewed the institution’s performance and discussed measures for improvement,along with its future roadmap.
Representatives from various departments attended while several important decisions were approved.
The participants also held detailed discussions on the proposed five-year strategic plan,focusing on academic excellence,research promotion and institutional development.
Speaking on the occasion,Prof.Dr.Shazia Bashir emphasized that financial autonomy was vital for the university’s sustainable growth.
She said that practical steps would be taken over the next three years to ensure economic stability,adding that achieving international academic standards was not possible without strong financial footing.
VC Prof.Dr.Shazia Bashir reiterated her commitment to devising a result-oriented strategy to strengthen the university’s standing among women’s institutions.
She expressed optimism that the university would emerge among the country’s leading institutions in the coming years.
