WASA sets new revenue recovery record, collects Rs440 million in April

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th May, 2026) Water & Sanitation Agency (WASA) has achieved a new milestone in revenue recovery by collecting Rs440 million during April 2026, surpassing the set monthly target.

A WASA spokesman said on Tuesday that the revenue directorates had been assigned a monthly recovery target of Rs425 million as part of the annual budget. However, through consistent efforts and effective strategies, the teams exceeded the target by Rs15 million, setting a new record for the department, he added.

Managing Director WASA Saqib Raza appreciated the outstanding performance of Deputy Managing Director (Admin and Finance) Shoaib Rashid and Directors of Revenue Muhammad Iqbal Malik, Umar Iftikhar and Shehryar Hassan, along with their respective teams, for their dedication and hard work.

He said that achieving and surpassing the recovery target clearly demonstrates the commitment and efficiency of the revenue directorates, adding that such performance would contribute significantly to strengthening the financial position of the department.
