Zero tolerance for one-dish violations,says DC

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st Mar, 2026) Deputy Commissioner(DC) Hussain Ahmad Raza Chaudhry on Tuesday reiterated that a zero-tolerance policy was being enforced against violations of the one-dish law in the district.

Speaking to the media,he said assistant commissioners were conducting routine inspections in their respective tehsils and taking action against marriage hall owners on a daily basis.

As part of the ongoing crackdown,Assistant Commissioner(AC) Sargodha Ahmad Sher Gondal inspected various marriage halls in the city and imposed fines on violators.

Officials said that Taj Green Marriage Hall on Lahore road was fined Rs.175,000 while Royal Taj Marriage Hall, also on Lahore road was fined Rs.100,000 for breaching the one-dish law.

DC warned that stricter action would be taken against repeat offenders,including registration of cases and confiscation of food.
