30m free books to be distributed in Punjab schools

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Apr, 2026) The distribution of free textbooks for students has begun in government schools of Punjab, millions of students across the province will benefit.

A total of 30 million free books will be distributed in Punjab. According to the details, the distribution of free textbooks has started in government schools of Punjab at the beginning of the new academic year, books have been delivered to warehouses in different districts and tehsils.

The education Department official sources told APP, more than 30 million textbooks will be provided to students across Punjab this year.

The process of delivery of books has been accelerated and special steps have been taken to ensure timely delivery to schools.

In-charge, City Tehsil books Warehouse, Kashif Shahzad, says, "We have ensured timely supply of books in all warehouses and we are trying to ensure that every student has a complete set at the beginning of the new academic year."

Officials further say that the monitoring system has also been tightened for fair distribution of books. Students and teachers have appreciated this initiative of the government and said that timely supply of books will improve educational activities.
