ANF seizes over 200 kg of drugs worth Rs 27.2 mln in nationwide operations

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st May, 2026) The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted seven operations in different cities across the country, arresting seven suspects, including a Nigerian national woman and a man, and recovering 200.81 kilograMS(kgs) of narcotics worth more than Rs 27.2 million.

According to an ANF spokesman, the operations were carried out under international, inter-provincial and domestic drug interdiction campaigns.

In an international drug interdiction operation near Ferozepur Road in Lahore, ANF recovered three kilo grams of cannabis and 230 grams of cocaine from the possession of a Nigerian national woman and a man travelling on a motorcycle. Both suspects were taken into custody.

In another operation near Upper Mall, Lahore, officials recovered 12.96 kilo grams of methamphetamine, commonly known as “ice”, concealed in handmade craft items at a courier office. The parcel was intended for Bahrain, the spokesman said.

During an inter-provincial operation near Kala Shah Kaku Toll Plaza, ANF recovered 130.8 kilo grams of hashish and 27 kilo grams of ice from a vehicle and arrested the accused involved.

In Peshawar, ANF personnel seized 24 kilo grams of hashish from a vehicle near Warsak Road and arrested the suspect.

In Islamabad, 310 grams of hashish and 14 grams of ecstasy pills were recovered from the possession of an individual near Public Works Department.

Separately, ANF recovered 1.2 kilo grams of ice from an accused near Dry Port Chowk in Sialkot.

In another raid near Korangi in Karachi, authorities seized 1.3 kilo grams of hashish along with two pistols and four magazines from the possession of a suspect.

The spokesman said cases had been registered against the arrested suspects under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997, and further investigations were underway.
