Body of missing child recovered

MUZAFFARGARH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Apr, 2026) The body of a six-year-old girl, who had fallen into a canal two days earlier, was recovered following a three-day search and rescue operation and handed over to her grieving family.

The tragic incident occurred near Bhagal Canal, close to Layyah, where the child reportedly slipped into the water while playing.

Upon receiving the emergency call, the Rescue 1122 team promptly arrived at the scene and launched a search operation.

On the third day, the team successfully recovered the body approximately 3.5 kilometers from the point where she had fallen, employing a systematic line-search technique.
