Commissioner Hyderabad Division Fayyaz Hussain Abbasi chairs meeting to review development work of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar’s shrine

HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th May, 2026) Commissioner Hyderabad Division Fayyaz Hussain Abbasi here on Tuesday chaired a meeting regarding the development work of Dargah Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar (RA) and other related uplift schemes.

The meeting was attended by Chief Administrator Auqaf Mukhtiar Ali Abro, Deputy Commissioner Jamshoro Ghazanfar Ali Qadri, Mumtaz Mangi, Chief Engineer Buildings Sher Muhammad Mahesar, Axion Buildings Shahbaz Shah, Assistant Commissioner Jamshoro Bilal Ahmed and others. The meeting reviewed the work scheduled in the previous meeting.

Chief Administrator Auqaf Mukhtiar Ali Abro, while giving a briefing, said that on the instructions of the Sindh government, the marble work on the roof of the shrine of Dargah Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar (RA) had been completed. Along with this, a strong pipeline, CCTV cameras and a separate large control room have also been established for them where AC and LED facilities have been provided, while the painting work in the premises and surroundings of the Dargah has also been completed, he said.

The remaining pending works include the boundary wall around Lal Bagh and the flooring inside it, construction of washrooms, plantation and improvement of greenery and beautification of the challah. In addition to this, the improvement of the electrical system of the shrine, construction of e-toilets, including the plot located on the north side of the shrine to the shrine and its boundary wall and marble flooring, preserving and strengthening the ancient sacred knowledge and replacing its marble with cool marble, improvement of the manager's office inside the shrine and provision of facilities were also decided.

On this occasion, Chief Engineer Buildings Sher Muhammad Mahesar said that the remaining works would be completed soon provided that he is provided with the final scope of the projects, on which Commissioner Hyderabad Fayyaz Hussain Abbasi directed the concerned officers to visit Sehwan within two days and finalize the scope of the development works, while Deputy Commissioner Jamshoro assured all possible cooperation.
