ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2026) Parliamentary Secretary for National Heritage and Culture and Member National Assembly Farah Naz Akbar has said that Youm-e-Marka-e-Haq would be commemorated with traditional enthusiasm and active participation of women, highlighting its national significance.
She was speaking at a dinner reception hosted on Thursday in honour of young women lawyers where a large number of members from the Islamabad Bar Women Wing attended.
In her address, Farah Naz Akbar lauded the emerging cohort of young and talented women lawyers, describing them as the “bright future of Pakistan’s legal fraternity.”
She said her vision was aligned with the leadership of Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, reflecting a broader commitment to women’s empowerment.
Highlighting the government’s initiatives, she said the Federal government was taking concrete steps to promote women’s empowerment through improved access to education, employment, and equal opportunities in the legal profession.
“Providing a conducive environment for young lawyers to grow and excel remains among our top priorities,” she added.
She said Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir had played a significant role in fostering peace and stability.
She added that Pakistan was emerging as a strong voice for peace, dialogue, and progress, attributing this to the sacrifices and professionalism of the armed forces.
During the event, young women lawyers expressed confidence in the leadership of Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and Farah Naz Akbar, while appreciating ongoing efforts aimed at women’s development.
