Four more gas meters disconnected over violations

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2026) Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) intensified its crackdown against gas theft, illegal use and technical violations, disconnecting four more meters during operations in the city.

The UFG Control Task Force inspected 55 locations, recovering two meters earlier removed by consumers and disconnecting two others for illegal use of compressors.

In another case, a consumer was found stealing gas from the main line through a rubber pipe. The connection was disconnected and legal action was initiated.

Officials said the drive aims to curb theft, improve gas pressure and ensure uninterrupted supply, adding that action against illegal activities will continue.
