Gilani condoles with Sherry Rehman over daughter’s death

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Apr, 2026) Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani on Thursday expressed deep sorrow over the death of the daughter of Senator Sherry Rehman, the parliamentary leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party in the Senate.

Gilani visited her residence in Islamabad, where he offered Fateha for the departed soul and extended condolences to the family.

During the meeting, he shared in her grief and said that losing a child is an unbearable tragedy for any parent.

He offered his heartfelt sympathies during this difficult time.

He prayed for the forgiveness of the deceased, for her higher status in the hereafter, and for her place in Jannat-ul-Firdous. He also prayed that Allah grant patience and strength to the family to bear this loss.

The chairman of the Senate spent some time with the family, offering comfort and support.

He assured Sherry Rehman that he stands with her and her family in this moment of grief.

Among those present were MNA Syed Ali Qasim Gilani, Senate Secretary Syed Hasnain Haider, and Adviser to the Chairman of the Senate on Media Mian Khurram Rasool.
