According to FDA sources, the DG FDA instructed that complaints received through One Window Counter, Chief Minister’s Portal or any other forum must be addressed immediately in a satisfactory manner without delay.

If any complaint does not fall within the jurisdiction of FDA, it should be forwarded to the relevant forum without any lapse of time, he added.

He assigned Additional Director General FDA Qaiser Abbas Rand to ensure strict monitoring of departmental action on citizens’ applications and to take serious notice of any unnecessary delay.

Meanwhile, Additional Director General FDA chaired a meeting to review the performance of One Window Counter and the status of redressal of public complaints.

Director Town Planning Asma Mohsin, Director Estate Management Junaid Hassan Manj, Deputy Director IT/Incharge One Window Counter Abdullah Noor, Deputy Directors Estate Management Adnan Shehzad and Rabia Mubashira, Deputy Director Legal Mohsin Bashir and other officers were also present in the meeting.

During meeting, the Additional DG reviewed details of public complaints and emphasized that all departments should perform their duties efficiently by ensuring implementation of modern digital reforms to make FDA services “complaint-free” and provide fast-track services.

He stressed that complaints received through Chief Minister’s Portal, Government of Punjab, and divisional and district administrations must be resolved on a priority basis, warning that reminder notices would entail accountability of the concerned officers.

He further directed that issues falling within the jurisdiction of FDA must be resolved without delay, while irrelevant complaints should be referred back to the appropriate forums.

The Additional DG also emphasized keeping the “e-Biz Punjab” help desk at the One Window Counter fully functional to ensure smooth implementation of the Punjab government’s initiatives for ease of doing business.
