Parking dispute at shrine turns deadly: two killed, one injured in Hassanabdal

ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Apr, 2026) A minor parking dispute turned into deadly violence on Sunday, leaving two people dead and another injured at the shrine of a local saint in the Gharsheen area, within the limits of Hassanabdal Police Station.

According to police sources, the altercation began when Zaheer Ahmed exchanged heated words with Bakshish Ellahi during the urs of Peer Sakhawat Shah, where a large number of devotees had gathered. The argument reportedly intensified over a parking issue.

Police said Zaheer later called his father and two other relatives to the scene.

Upon their arrival, the group allegedly attacked Bakshish Ellahi. When Sajjad Shah and Asad Ali intervened to defuse the situation, the assailants opened fire, killing both men on the spot, while one person sustained injuries.

The suspects fled the scene following the incident. The injured and deceased were shifted to THQ Hospital, while police registered a case against Zaheer Ahmed, his father Sher Afzal, Javaid, and Nagaf under Sections 302, 324, and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code, and launched a manhunt to apprehend the accused.
